Witnessed Physical Data Destruction

On-Site Hard Drive Crushing in Dallas-Fort Worth

What You Can Expect

Built Around Business IT Projects

Destroyed at Your Location

We bring a portable drive-crushing machine to the approved DFW site so authorized personnel can witness physical destruction.

Per-Drive Evidence

The scoped process can record each serial number and capture a photo of the drive before and after crushing.

Verifiable for Seven Years

The downloadable report can include a digital signature, hash, time and GPS evidence, plus QR verification retained through Expunge Data.

The Process

From Photos to Finished Pickup

1

Scope the Project

We confirm drive types, count, equipment being released, site access, witnessing rules, and required evidence.

2

Record Each Drive

Covered media is serialized and photographed before it enters the physical-destruction workflow.

3

Crush Onsite

The drive is physically deformed at your location while authorized customer personnel can observe.

4

Deliver the Record

After photos and event evidence are assembled into a downloadable, tamper-evident PDF with QR verification.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer mobile hard drive shredding?
We provide on-site physical destruction by drive crushing, not a mobile hard-drive shredder. We keep this shredding-intent page because many customers use “shredding” as a general search term, then explain the actual method before any work is scheduled.
Can our staff watch the drives being destroyed?
Yes. Authorized customer personnel can witness the scoped on-site crushing process. Tell us about access restrictions, custody rules, safety requirements, and who needs to observe when requesting the project.
What does the documentation include?
The agreed record can include each drive’s serial number, a before photo, an after photo, the destruction time, GPS location evidence, a digital signature, a cryptographic hash, and a QR-verifiable PDF retained through Expunge Data for seven years.
Is the report immutable?
Tamper-evident and independently verifiable is the more accurate description. A PDF file can be changed, but a changed copy will no longer match the digital signature, cryptographic hash, or retained QR-linked record.
Is crushing included with free pickup?
It can be included or partially offset when a qualifying equipment project has enough recoverable value. It can also be quoted as a paid service. We evaluate equipment type and value, drive count, documentation depth, and onsite logistics together.
Is the crusher NIST approved?
NIST does not approve GreenIT Pickup, individual crushing machines, or project certificates. NIST SP 800-88 Rev. 2 provides media-sanitization guidance. The customer remains responsible for confirming that the selected method fits its media, legal obligations, contracts, and written policy.
Can every storage device use the same destruction method?
No. Hard drives, SSDs, flash modules, tapes, and embedded storage have different construction. We identify media types before the job and confirm the supported method rather than promising one machine is appropriate for everything.
